Hi, I’m John Little.

During my working life I have been very fortunate to acquire broad managerial experience in industry, manufacturing, information technology, R&D, finance and risk management.

At Canada Post, H.A. Simons (Engineering), Johnson Diagnosys (paper production optimization software) and through various real estate projects I had an excellent exposure to project and property management. At H.A. Simons I picked up an in-depth understanding of contractual and product liability and the application of project risk assessment techniques while preparing project contracts valued up to $175 million in the design-build and joint venture bidding processes.

I also gained an excellent financial background in the investment (Greenshields-RBC Dominion Securities) and venture capital sectors, a thorough understanding of project management practices and a certificate in risk management

For the last 15 years I have been actively involved in the high tech sector as an independent consultant with a number of Montreal startup companies such as Wavesat Inc (wireless telecommunications-amplifiers), MicroSlate (pen-based laptop computers) and Solabs Inc (start-up, electronic audit software for pharmaceuticals to FDA regulations 21 CFR – 11,). I spent 3 years as Project Manager (systems implementation and contract administration) with Johnson Diagnosys Inc (paper machine optimization software), a start up company I helped set up. More recently I worked in the energy sector with industrial energy management consultant Opnor Inc of Montreal in addition to the preparation of SR&ED tax credit claims for BDC (bank) clients and others.

In addition to my fluency in English and French, I believe my project, technical, and financial risk management skills can help MEUK customers, especially in Quebec and northern New Brunswick, make the most of their R&D work.
